Myth

Artemis and the Hunter

One day Artemis was bathing in a stream when a young hunter named Actaeon saw her. Even though he knew it was wrong to spy on a Goddess, especially when she was naked, he couldn't take her eyes off of her. But, Artemis saw Acateon spying and was furious. She didn't want him to brag about seeing her naked, so she punished him by turning him into a deer. Actaeon's hunting dogs did not recognize him as a deer and attacked and killed him.

  1. In the third line, you wrote ",he couldn't take her eyes off of her." The first her need to be he if I am reading this correctly.

  2. This is pretty good. The myth is really brief though.

  3. Annelise, she didn't set his hounds upon him on the basis of bragging. That may have played a part, but the real reason is that She didn't want anyone to look upon her nude and live(whether they told the tale or not is unimportant, and impossible seeing that they are already dead).
